I bought this book after falling in love with its companion volume of one-skein luxury yarn knits. Although there are a lot of designs in here that I'll use, I was disappointed with the 'designer' angle of it. I expected to see designs by the bog name designers like Debbie Bliss, Louisa Harding and Kim Hargreaves but none appear.

I'd still recommend it for stash-busting and as a source book for hand-knitted gifts for special people.

inspirational book 26 Mar 2010
Format:Paperback
I initially borrowed this from the library and made several projects. Returning to knitting after years, and never very good at it, I found this book inspirational and soooo encouraging! All the projects are small but use all sorts of different yarns and patterns, none of the projects takes that long even for a fairly rusty knitter like me and the results are lovely. Ideal for using odd balls of yarn or trying some of the amazing yarns on offer without breaking the bank.I just HAD to BUY the book!!! Highly recommended

The best ideas for charity knitting with odd balls of wool. Very easy instructions. Many new ideas for loops, edges, pockets. Will look forward to buying next book. Would like to hear about patterns for adult garments.

Rummaging through my wool stash!
Lots of lovely patterns. I'm a beginner knitter, but there's plenty in this book that I am able to knit now, as well as plenty more to aspire to as my skills improve.
