Many tips are just common sense and a lot of women will know about them but there are also many which at least I had never heard of, so quite useful! I liked especially the masks, massage oils, moisturizers and so which can be made at home just unfortunately often no quantities for the needed ingredients are given. The ideas for massages for different body parts are also great as well as the supplements section. I made an index of my own so that I can find my favorite tips more easily.

But there are downsides as well: many tips are repeated, so there aren't 1001 different ones. Somewhere they mention about a papaya face mask which I suppose you can make yourself but they don't say how. Somewhere they say that you should hydrate skin before going to bed, somewhere else that you shouldn't always hydrate the skin, I would like to try the wheat germ soak but it says to drain it and use the residue, do they mean the germ or the water? They also tell you to rinse your hair but do you need to shampoo it? They tell you to add a mint infusion to a bottle of shampoo but again, if the bottle is quite full how do you mix it and does it last otherwise you can throw your shampoo away. A mango foot bath, sounds good but do you make the juice at home? Should it be thin juice or do you blend the mango? They also talk about using essential oils without mentioning a carrier oil which I thought you should always use, for example using essential oils in bath. Lots of talk about using sun screens but are they really safe? I heard lots of times that they are not as well as avoiding the sun which is not a good thing because of vitamin D. They say you can make vit. D in winter but in our latitudes that doesn't seem to be the case. And so I have quite a few more questions. A pity there is no way to contact the authors which is the case with some books.

Worth reading anyway but maybe there are better out there, therefore the 3 stars!

So I got this book, expecting it to be filled with things like little tips, DIY beauty recipes and secrets and I was a little disappointed.

It's filled instead with things that you should avoid in beauty products that you buy. I thought that all the tips were a little samey and similar.
It seemed to me that throughout the whole book, they were trying really hard to come up with new tips to reach 1001.
This book would be great for someone who was looking to know what they should or shouldn't be looking for in beauty products.

Maybe it was just me and my expectations, but I was very disappointed with it especially after seeing all these great reviews.

So if you, like me were looking for more secrets, tips and natural beauty recipes then I would look elsewhere.

Loved this book! If you're like me, you are always perusing magazines to find out the latest tips. Well, now I don't have to do that as often, not since this book which lays out over 1000 tops and beauty solutions. It's definetly worth the price, that's for sure. I also liked and recommend How To Be Wanted: Use the Law of Attraction to Date the Man You Most Desire and Live the Life You Deserve.

The information is pretty standard and sensible- a collection of ideas that are usually found in a range of magazines. So if you are an avid magazine/ 'beauty book' reader, a lot of the book is repitition. Have not used any ideas from the book despite having it for a while.

This little book is just filled with tips, hints and lots of useful advice on all beauty topics. It's not a sit down read with entertaining stories - instead it is like a reference book, sorted into easy-access sections based on troubled areas (personally I found the tips on eye-care and homemade face masks extremely useful). This is a book I can refer to every month or so as and when I need too. Highly recommend for any woman wanting an unbiased advise.

I enjoyed the book. It's content was light-weight and many of the tips you've probably read in a magazine, book or blog before, but I'm sure there will be some of the tips that are new to you. A nice book as a stocking filler, or a little magazine alternative treat. I wasn't disappointed, but I didn't have sky-high expectations either.
