I bought this for a friend who has wanted to do a course on general architecture for some time. I looked through it thoroughly and was very pleasantly surprised at how much one gets for one's money. There are some excellent photographs showing all sorts of different types of architecture down the ages. It's a book for all people interested in the subject.
