These compression socks feature Graduated Compression. By decreasing degrees of pressure in certain areas of the the sock, this greatly improves circulation to move old blood out and new oxygenated blood into the region. I was advised to buy these to help deal with the swelling after my cast for a broken ankle came off.

All I can say is they seem to be excellent, very well made, extremely comfortable to wear (have hardly noticed they're on when going about daily chores) and at a reasonable outlay. They are very thin so only time will tell how well they'll last but first impressions are very good. Functionally they do the job, swelling seems to be kept from getting any worse.

One thing I did notice though, they are very tight, I guess they have to be as they are compression socks! But this means they are a little tricky to get on over the top of a stiff/painful ankle joint as per the instructions without stretching the material. Overall very happy though.

A little tight on the hem for me; I find 2xu socks more comfortable. Having said that the compression is very good.

Great compression sock, would have got 5 stars if not an inch too long (below the knee).
Muscle support is excellent, reducing cramp and the fear of cramp!

These are great, i used to have a great deal of trouble with cramp in my calf muscles, but wearing these during my football matches makes a huge differnce, i play about 2-3 games a week, and this has solved my problem. Only downside is that they can smell bad after being used, but if you take them out your kitbag fast and wash thenm regularly they are perfect!

Does exactly what it says. Can be very tight particularly if you have a large lower leg! A good purchase!

The socks may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, to be truthful they look naff, make you look like a schoolgirl, but if you can get over the look they are very good. I pulled a muscle in my left calf about 6 weeks ago and wearing the socks I was back running within 12 days. I bought the socks in the hope they would help me get back running a bit sooner and sure enough they do the trick. They are very tight fitting and you can really feel the muscle compress and this obviously helps with the healing process. I have been using them for about three weeks now and am very pleased with my purchase... I do get some looks now though!!

Having recently returned to running after a good year's lay off through a knee injury, I found I was now suffering from shin splints. I read a few articles that suggested that compression socks were a way to improve this situation so after a bit of searching i plumped for these ones. Bought two pairs to start with as I was onlty running twice a week but since having these socks my shin splints have gone, literally overnight and now I'm running four to five times a week so have ordered more pairs.
They really do work and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to up their millage with minimal damage.
