I really enjoyed the succinct manner in which this book was written. It's easy to flip through and get a few new ideas to add to your arsenal each and every day. I also enjoy the broad spectrum of topics covered, while making sure that the reader has supporting information for and against the advice if relevant. An example would when the author points out potentially harmful chemicals in plastic containers with BPA, the author is careful enough to note that there's still a lot of research to be done on the subject.

If you need practical steps you can take as many or as few as you would like every day. There is no master plan that requires each and every step to be followed, but the bite-sized gems of knowledge present can help you take small steps towards elevating yourself to new heights with respect to your energy and metabolism.

This was a beautifully illustrated and well written book on diet, nutrition, and exercise. It has a lot of excellent tips on how to keep your metabolism running, and it's presented well and easily understood. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've done a lot of reading on this subject and was kind of hoping for something more in depth. I guess you could say that I didn't learn much I hadn't already read about. There were a few new and interesting tidbits, but most of it was fairly basic.

I would recommend this for someone who is just starting a diet program or is looking for simple and varied ways to slowly change their eating habits and take off pounds in a sensible way. Not recommended for those who are looking for ways to fine tune an already well informed program.
