Having been a supply teacher and now covering for one term, I find all of the 100 Framework lesson books invaluable. They shouldn't be taken as a complete teaching set for the whole year, but are an ideal starting point and will suffice for most lessons. However, this comes with caveats. I currently teach a Year 5/6 class and there aren't always corresponding lessons in the Year 5 and Year 6 books - you'll need to find either the curriculum area to cover or the level of your class. I'd also utilise other texts, the internet and own knowledge to support your teaching.
By far the best tool is the CD-rom. Not only does it provide Interactive Whiteboard tools, but there are differentiated worksheets and planning grids. Ideal for NQTs and experienced teachers alike.
