5.0 out of 5 stars So that's what a brand is 25 May 2012
By Mrs. R.
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Thinking about brands, Nike, Google, Mercedes, Shell, Coco Cola and the biggies spring to mind. Some of these do get a mention, but in a way that show you what they do right that smaller organisations can do too. This book is full of approachable ideas, whether they're from global organisations or the shop just around the corner.
An idea is two other ideas joined together. (That wasn't my idea; I'm quoting it but I can't remember who said it first.) Anyway, if you read this, borrow one of its ideas, hook it up with one of your own then maybe you'll come out with some great new ones. 100 Great Branding Ideas isn't suggesting that you go right out and copy other people's, but it does inspire you, and help you by giving you a helpful hand.
Don't know what happened with the editing; there are errors in it. Get your red pen out and correct them if it makes you feel better - it did for me. But it's worth dipping into and out of when you need to give your own brand a bit of a boost.

2.0 out of 5 stars Truly disappointing 12 Jan 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
No pictures, no inspiration. For a book on branding it is a thoroughly disappointing read. Moreover, many of the cases and recommendations are so general that they fail to provide any insights. I would never buy this book if I had seen it in a bookstore and I will not recommend it to any friends.
