About the Author
Hywel Davies has lectured at Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art. Previously fashion editor at Sleazenation, he has also written for Arena, Jack, Vogue, ELLE, Wallpaper*, The Sunday Telegraph, Nylon, Dazed & Confused, Loaded Fashion, and Time Out. His first book Modern Menswear was published in 2008. He is also a consultant for numerous brands, including Levi's, Braun, and Orange.

This book is great. It's packed with loads of photographs and some designers have even included their sketches, which is really interesting. It actually lives up to the title 100 NEW fashion designers, instead of being filled with the same old designers everyone already knows about. Now I can pretend I know about the future of fashion to all my friends. I'll be looking out for more Hywel Davies titles!

I bought this book as I had read the reviews and thought that it would be good to add to waht I already have (fashion books) I was wrong.
This book is just ok, as for the designers sketches I think that there was less than 5 it's more about their infomation (where they went to uni/how they met their design partner) etc.
It does have pictures of their clothes (which are great) and their website addresses but other than that that is it.

i really think this is a very good source if you are a fashion student. As I am one,i do recommend you buying this one. you know more of the new designers while doing references. there are about 4 pages for each designers, which then you can search more images of them on the internet. it is helpful
