Lego, but cheaper 10 Oct 2011
By Rijacu

Both of my girls are mad about Lego, we have just booked another trip to Legoland and realised that the really expensive part of this is the shops, so why not take our holiday presents with us?? I have just opened the box and although the people are immediately recognizable as not authentic lego, the bricks and slates are exactly the same, (a far cry from the knock-off Lego that was around 20 years ago. A similar set of 'real' Lego would probably cost 3x the price so this has saved quite a lot of money.

....update, built these now, and they seemed to go together quite well, there was one block that had not been moulded correctly and kept 'jumping' off the baseboard but managed to secure it with other bricks from above... and after looking at the prices at legoland still very happy that i took this!!

Disappointed 8 Nov 2011
Educational:    Fun:
I ordered this for my granddaughter. She wanted the Lego castle displayed on the back of her Lego shop box. However, it has been discontinued and this was recommended as a similar item. It looked a good alternative but it is not nearly as easy to handle as Lego and too difficult for a 6y old to do and so not good as a construction toy. However once assembled it looks good and they (4 and 6y old girls) enjoy playing fantasy games with it.

First of all, i didnt even want to give this one star, but there was no choice to give it none.

Also, i have never written a review for anything before and i wouldnt usually bother-but this toy is so poor i felt i had to, because i am so annoyed!

I bought this for my daughter for christmas after looking in lego shops etc for some girly lego to add to her small collection. When i found this for £35 and saw that it was '100% compatible with lego" i obviously thought it was a bargain and ordered it.

WELL. oh my god, what a nightmare. She was so excited to build it up in to the castle so we got started on christmas morning... haha.

The pieces DO NOT fit together well at all. You have to really use strong force to put them on, then most of the pieces just pop back off. Its ridiculous and really unfair.

I could bet on it that nobody who has bought this product has ever managed to finish building the castle.

One touch and the whole thing just falls apart and you're back to where you were half an hour ago.

very frustrating and dissapointing :(

DONT be tempted by the pretty picture and the misleading description. worst £35 i've ever spent.

That is all!
