Book Description

23 Aug 2004 100 bullets
The awesome creators behind Batman: Broken City (now available from Titan), Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso, slap in a fresh clip of 100 Bullets - the smash-hit crime saga that begs the question: if you were given a gun, 100 untraceable bullets and carte blanche to do anything you liked with them, what would you do? In prison for murder, Loop is horrified when the Trust's murderous agent, Lono, winds up incarcerated with him. Soon, Lono is using his bloody 'skills' to dominate the inmates and Loop is caught in the fallout of a savage power struggle! Already laden with awards, this incredible series casts its bloody eyes on the horrors and tragedy of a US prison system descended into barbarism. Warning: Adults only!

4.0 out of 5 stars 7 Samurai 27 Sep 2009
By Peter
Format:Paperback
This is volume 7 not 4 as the prior review suggests. As it is this is probably the finest ongoing series that Vertigo have produced since Lucifer or even Preacher and Samurai continues that high standard. Risso's artwork still evokes Frank Miller (albeit with far more emphasis on teeth) and Azzarello's writing brings to mind that of Garth Ennis and Oliver Stone.
It is a particularly dense segment of a sometime confusing but never impenetrable series. This is not a title that you can simply drop into, start at Vol. 1 First Shot, Last Call.

1.0 out of 5 stars didnt like it. 2 July 2004
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
so, this is the fourth book in the series, art work is about as creative as a 3 year old on steroids.
but it fits in perfectly with the storyline which seems as though it was thought up by a person with autism.
so in a nutshell, i thought it was an extremely poor comic book. was very dissappointed.
