Everyone needs a morning energizer. This unique 28 day yoga and diet plan will make you 10lbs lighter and 10 times happier as Britain’s no 1 name in yoga offers a day by day programme with colour photos of the 10 minute yoga workouts.
Get 10lbs Slimmer and feel 10 Times better with Barbara Currie’s new 28 day plan. The ultimate morning energizer, it offers 10 minute yoga workouts and recipes for each day of the month plus health and beauty tips and inspiring affirmations and quotes.
Barbara Currie advocates a diet of wholefoods close to what our forebears would have eaten in the days when people only ate seasonal produce that they could hunt and gather. Similar to the 'Stone Age' or 'Adam and Eve' diets, she avoids such foods as refined sugar, wheat and cow's milk and packaged foods which our bodies often find difficult to process. Healthy grains, vegetables, pulses and fruit are the life force behind her diet.
Full of colour photos, the 28 day plan gives you 10 minute yoga sequences to follow each day. Yoga is one of the best ways to hone muscles, get the perfect stomach, hips, thighs and arms, and improve gracefulness and flexibility. Barbara’s routines are perfect for both beginners and improvers.
Everyone needs a Morning Energizer and this programme helps you get focused, plan your meals, feel well, exercised and happy through the day.

I must admit I was expecting just more of the same, and whilst some of the moves are repeated, you really get the sense that Barbara's yoga has evolved and moved on.
This time she gives us a complete 28 day plan which allows you to tackle your body shape and flexibility along with your diet and even your self-confidence all in one fell swoop!
I love the day-by-day format so that all you have to do is open the book at the right page and follow that day's instructions - so easy!
3-4 exercises are given per day with Saturday used to repeat the week's worth and Sunday as a rest day, except for a walk outdoors. You learn 60 yoga postures over the whole book and your flexibility improves without it becoming a chore.
There is a diet plan as well and this is a big improvement on the last book where only a couple of pages at the end were devoted to the diet issue. The emphasis is definitely on fresh wholesome food with a sample menu for each day and even recipes at the end. This is great but I do think the plan is overly restrictive in that it allows no snacks at all! I thought these days we were supposed to be in favour of 5 small meals so the metabolism stays constantly fired up? Still the promise of losing 10lbs in 28 days will probably tempt some people to give it a go.
My favourite part of the book is the daily visualisation and inspirational quotes. These encourage you to re-programme your mind with positive affirmation statements - 'I have got the promotion I have been aiming for and love my new job' (sounds great!) - and remind you each day to take your goals that little stage further. Positive quotes form famous people such as Marcus Aurelius - 'Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat then in his own soul' - also help to keep you focused.
Each day's session ends with a handy 2 minute beauty tip such as standing properly for good posture, or how to firm a double chin. These are great little snippets that really add to the overall experience and make it feel more like being pampered rather than hard work.
Overall it is a glossy, holistic book which delivers real results and best of all, the feel-good factor. The only criticism I would have is with the format of the book. Why can't we have a ring binding? It would make life so much easier if we could lay the book flat while doing the exercises, rather than having to crane to see the pictures as the book folds up!!
