Overall this is a good pad for the money. You are buying the bottom end of the scale, so don't expect a top of the range model. The screen is not multi-touch (I personally don't mind that as I find more use for it on my small phone than on this). Although it is sold with Flash 10.1, don't expect it to work well. It plays video files really well, and can connect easily (just plug and play) to an external USB drive.
For me the biggest annoyance was the Marketplace. Because this is basically just a bog-standard reference edition of Android 2.2 (with some bundled apps) it is not localised for the Marketplace. This means (at least I think this is the reason) that while you can access the marketplace, you will have problems accessing non-free apps and some apps will not appear due to country restrictions etc. Also going to the marketplace on the web and logging in showed my HTC Wildfire correctly, but this tablet did not show up at all. I tried lots of suggestions people had for getting this to work, but to no avail. I did find ONE work around for some apps however: buying them on my phone added them to the "My Apps" folder on the market and I could then see them (most of them) on my tablet and install them.
Another point is the battery. Charging it up while the unit was left on refused (even overnight) to charge beyond 57% (which looking on the web seems a common problem). Turning the unit off before charging seems to have helped as it charged fully after doing this. It is now 13:12 and ive had my tablet on since around 10:00 and the battery is at around 58% now. This is consistant with the claim of around 6 hours battery life.
It seems that a common suggestion for this tablet is to flash it to Tims4e rom, which I may get round to doing at some stage. This may solve some of these issues.
Overall impression is of a device fairly well made (with great connectivity: 2x USB, HDMI, RJ45, MicroSD, Headphone/Speaker) but on a cheap device. You get what you pay for and you wont be able to use this for as many things as a new Android 3 device or an iPad, but then it wont cost you £400+ either. For budget use, I would recommend it.
As a small aside, Mine didn't come with a free speaker as advertised, but it did come with 8GB instead of 4GB, so I'm not complaining.
