A great help, recommended 19 April 2011

This book gave me and my husband, who had been trawling the internet for months, help to finally settle on a name for our little girl. It has huge lists of girls & boys names (with their meanings) and also gives some great advice - like don't listen to your relatives!

This book was great it has lots of names of all ethnic backgrounds.
The names are in alphabetically with descriptions of each name & meaning including pronunciations, same sounding names, names that were pairs (ideal for twins), famous people's names, etc.
The only thing we found very hard was to make the decision for the babies names as we were spoiled for choice and I will recommend it and pass it on to my pregnant friends & famiy.

We used this book to help us decide on the name of our baby boy. Having found it hard enough to choose the name of our first baby we were really struggling to come up with a name. This book gave us some new ideas and finally the inspiration we were looking for to choose a final few names to mull over. Great value, easy to use and all the names/meanings you need to help you make that all important decision

Similar to other products

I must say I was quite disappointed with this book.
None of the names really stood out, and a vast amount of them seemed to be of Asian background.
Not very useful.
