Flash (Dylan Duffus) is a gang banger who deals drugs for a living, looking after his business as he tries to keep an eye on the five children he's fathered with three different women (Natasha Holness, Justice and Lady L). Flash is the protégé of another dealer, Angel (Yohance Watson), who is serving time in prison, until Flash gets a call one morning that Angel's release date has been moved up, and he's supposed to pick up his mentor the next day, bringing along the £500,000 he's been hiding for him. I thought this was the worst film ive ever watched, this film use's birmingham actors and is set in birmingham, im from birmingham and i cant understand a word they are saying i needed subtitles, it does not make any sense in the slightest, the main character flash is being chased by opposing gang members, while they are chasing and shooting at him a women is hanging out of the car chasing rapping/mc-ing, along with all the other gang members just breaking out in rap at random times, it has to be the worst film ever made

If you enjoyed the gritty street scenes of Kidadulthood and Adulthood and enjoy a fast paced, hard hitting drama this is the movie to see. Based in Birmingham it is the story of Flash who in the course of 1 day experiences major hiccups in his life. This story shows gang culture at its hardest but with a poetic approach to it. It shows how such culture affects family, friends, young and old. It's hard hitting and believable and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Born out of Channel 4's 'Post Code Wars','One Day' follows a day in the life of Flash (Dylan Duffus), a drug dealer who has one day to raise a 100k to repay an associate released early from prison. Based in Birmingham the film uses an urban back drop to address several issues affecting inner city communities in the 21st century, from gang rivalry, to the scourge of drugs, to parenthood. The film is fast paced and gritty, with a hip hop feel. If you enjoyed Kidulthood and Adulthood you'll enjoy this high octane urban drama.

Brilliant Movie
I bought this film for my 15 year old son (who a while ago seemed to be going off the rails), we sat and watched it together, and I think the storyline was very potent to him.. Read more

Not a bad film
Takes you right in to the world of gang violence and shows you the sad truth of the reality of it. Kept me watching and the acting wasn't too bad either.
