Don't buy this cable if you want to connect a laptop with VGA output to a TV with component input. The product information says it will work but I can assure you that it doesn't for a Dell laptop to a Panasonic Plasma HDTV. Also the company doesn't answer my e mails requesting help

I used this cable to connect my laptop to my Hitachi HDTV and worked ok, but would not work if I connected it through a HDD recorder first.
Works for what I needed it for but I would warn anyout to be carefull what they want to connect.

I used this cable to connect my DVD player (component output) to my Dell front projector (VGA input) and it works great! The cables on the component side seem thin but the picture quality is fantastic which is all that matters. I''m very happy with everything.
This cable will not work if you just try connecting your laptop to a receiver or a TV. Youll need a special video card in order to do this.

Works well for YPrPb to VGA
Needed to connect a Haupage HDPVR to a TV Set. The HDPVR only had YPrPb outputs, the TV only had a VGA input. TV Manual confirmed the VGA input could accept a YPrPb signal. Read more

Same as bells.
Never worked connecting mac to HDTV :( it just flickers pink and green before finally just ing black. Same with all 4 TVs that I have tried!
