Xavier Aanderson, as you may have guessed, is not my real name.
Why do I hide though.... is it an aversion to the burden fame might bring? A shyness that my work might be critiqued? A desire for secrecy, lest my success be so great that friends look at me in a different way?
In short, nope! I hide behind a false label for two reasons, the first entirely irrational: to use my real name might jinx my success (nuts!). The second, more sensible: I would prefer my employer not know I am trying something else until I am ready myself to tell him!
And so, my biography, real in all aspects save my name:
I was born in 1984 and fortunate enough to spend my youth in the Lake District. I studied physics in London, am a qualified management accountant, speak Chinese (mandarin, to a conversational level at least...) and currently work for a global company in a commercial planning role.
I currently live in London, work in London, and sit at home on weekends writing in London!
I hope that you will enjoy my work, and will in any case do me the great favour of a real, honest review. This will probably not influence what and how I write, I must warn you, for I write for myself, but as a relatively new author I would be interested to see any feedback!
