I am the author of 'Discovering Wine Country: South of France' (Mitchell Beazley) and 'The Wines of Roussillon' (Trabucaire). I am also wine columnist at 'The Connexion' - France's leading English newspaper. I graduated from the University of California, Davis - the USA's top wine school - where I edited the daily paper. I did post-grad work at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences. I've worked as a presenter for PBS television in central California and written articles and chapters for academic journals and books. I have taught at universities in California, England, Belgium, France and Spain. I've also spent time in Portugal, Cyprus, Egypt, Japan and Australia. I was born in Yorkshire and live in Argelès-sur-Mer, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, in the south of France. I am also a translator and interpreter to the wine trade and I host wine tours and tastings in Roussillon.
