I have recently received this book from Amazon on a pre-order. If you are a Titanic fan and are hoping to see new images, then you will be disappointed. The exploration covered was done in 2004 at the same time as the James Cameron one and is just showing pictures of where Ballard is saying other explorations are causing damage to the great ship and are all exterior shots. If you are really interested in seeing what remains inside the wreck, the Cameron book 'Ghosts of the Abyss' and accompanying DVD of the same name takes you inside the wreck to see amazing pictures of the dining rooms, the Turkish Baths, a bowler hat amazingly perfect etc in the ship - a truly awesome book and one that requires constant re-reading. The Ballard book is only worth the money if you crave to know how the ship is deteriorating and can't (like me) leave Titanic books unpurchased.

Having been obsessed with the Titanic for 34 years. I found this book a truly fantastic end to Dr. Ballards series of books. The pictures, detail and respect of this book to the Titanic is as you would expect... Wonderful.
